The marine heatwave around 30°W is decreasing in area and intensity, shifting overall to a moderate category. The marine heatwave off the African coast around 8°N is increasing with mostly strong and locally sever categories.
The marine heatwave in the center of the basin is decreasing in extent and in intensity, with moderate and strong categories. The marine heatwave in the East China Sea is decreasing in extent and intensity with moderate to strong categories.
The marine heatwave in the Philippine Sea decreasing in intensity and in extent. The marine heatwave off the Australian coast increase in intensity with moderate and mostly strong categories.
The marine heatwave west of Sumatra is decreasing in intensity with moderate to strong categories. The marine heatwave in the Bay of Bengal is decreasing in intensity and only a few scattered areas remain.
