The OceanPredict AI Task Team Workshop, entitled “Machine Learning for Ocean Prediction: Methods, Applications & Challenges”, will take place on 13–14 April 2026 at the University of Montréal, Canada, in collaboration with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). The workshop aims to bring together the ocean prediction and AI communities to explore innovative machine learning approaches, hybrid modelling techniques and operational challenges in ocean forecasting.

Marie Drevillon, Senior Scientist at Mercator Ocean International, plays a key role in this initiative as Co-Chair of the OceanPredict AI Task Team. Mercator Ocean International is a co-organiser of the workshop, contributing to the coordination of scientific exchanges and the advancement of AI-based solutions for ocean prediction within the international OceanPredict framework.
