Mercator Ocean International will participate in the NECCTON General Assembly, taking place at DTU in Copenhagen from 18 to 20 March 2026. Coordinated by Stefano Ciavatta, Head of Marine Ecosystems Service at Mercator Ocean, NECCTON is a Horizon Europe project bringing together 23 European partners to transform our ability to predict and protect marine biodiversity.
Mercator Ocean leads the scientific and technical development of the project, including the pathway towards integration of NECCTON products into the Copernicus Marine Service, as well as future perspectives for new data, models and applications in the EDITO platform. NECCTON delivers innovative marine ecosystem models boosted by AI and advanced data integration, providing unprecedented insights for biodiversity conservation, fisheries management and ecosystem monitoring.
