Access data and
cloud computing services

This page serves as a gateway to an extensive array of open and freely available Ocean, Coastal, Arctic, and Earth data. Below, you will find direct access to various data catalogues, portals, viewers, and cloud computing resources designed for users to easily retrieve and use the data.

Summary

Ocean

The Copernicus Marine Service, an essential component of the EU’s flagship Earth Observation programme, Copernicus, plays a central role in Mercator Ocean International’s operational services and expertise. MOi Implements the service on behalf of the European Commission and it delivers open and free data and information on the state of the Blue (physical), White (sea ice), and Green (biogeochemical) Ocean globally and at regional scales. It is designed to serve EU policies and International legal Commitments related to Ocean Governance, to cater for the needs of society at large for global Ocean knowledge and to boost the sustainable Blue Economy across all maritime sectors.

Comprising nearly 400 Ocean data products and indicators, the Copernicus Marine Service provides in situ and satellite observations, forecasting models, as well as Ocean Monitoring Indicators.

Coastal

The Coastal Hub is a Copernicus web portal that provides coastal data and information drawing from multiple Copernicus services. This thematic Hub, implemented by MOi, includes an interactive viewer and offers Copernicus data to support evidence-based decision-making and sustainable management practices.

Arctic

The Arctic Hub is a Copernicus web portal that provides Arctic data and information drawing from multiple Copernicus services. This thematic Hub, implemented by MOi, includes an interactive viewer and offers Copernicus data to support evidence-based decision-making and sustainable management practices.

Earth & Cloud computing

The Copernicus WEkEO cloud computing platform provides centralised access to the full Copernicus Earth Observation catalogue (Marine, Atmosphere, Climate Change, and Land services) and Sentinel portfolio as well as computing resources in its cloud infrastructure. As key organisations in the Copernicus Programme, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, EEA and Mercator Ocean International implement and develop this reference service for environmental data.
