The OCEAN exhibition is located in Toulouse from 19 March to 3 April and offers you a unique immersive adventure. Walk through the tour, which consists of a drawn painting and a giant dome housing a 360° film, and come away amazed by the beauty of the Ocean !

Aimed at the general public, the OCEAN exhibition aims to raise awareness of the value of the French and European maritime space, its diversity and its essential role for a sustainable future. The OCEAN exhibition is located in Toulouse, in the Occitanie region, at La Cité, 55 Avenue Louis Breguet, which welcomes visitors from Monday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm. Ticketing link

This project is led by the Ocean & Climate Platform with the support of the French Ministry of the Sea and is part of the “Présidence française du Conseil de l’Union européenne” (PFUE). Mercator Ocean is a scientific partner of the exhibition and the COPERNICUS marine service, led by Mercator Ocean, is a provider of digital oceanographic data. During the long film of the exhibition entitled “The beating heart of the ocean”, projected in 360°, the visitor will be able to discover animations based on the digital ocean of the COPERNICUS marine service programme showing the dynamics of the global ocean.

During the exhibition, you can learn more about Sustainable Development Goal 14 on the conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal ecosystems through a quiz developed in partnership with the United Nations, Sulitest et Mercator Ocean International. Also, as part of the film “The beating heart of the ocean”, you can discover animations based on the digital ocean of the COPERNICUS marine service reproducing the dynamics of global ocean currents, the variability of chlorophyll or ocean heat content, a pool of energy (warmpool) for extreme atmospheric phenomena such as cyclones.

This exhibition highlights the wonder of the beauty of marine life by immersing us under the dome where key European ocean actors take turns to talk about their passion while beautiful videos are shown. Not to be missed!
